• Task List – A multi-user task management tool that allows users to create, edit, and assign tasks. Many SOAPware activities can create tasks automatically to smooth workflow. The Task List gives users office-wide electronic access to the information that used to be confined to sticky notes and bulletin boards. It even includes pop-up reminders to draw you attention to important notices.
• Enterprise-level Database – For data storage, SOAPware uses PostgreSQL , an open source database engine used in thousands of enterprise applications worldwide. With PostgreSQL, there are not artificial limitations on concurrent users or storage capacity, and a robust selection of 3rd party management tools keeps users in control of their data.
• Voice Recognition Integration – SOAPware® V5 now includes a direct integration to the Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 Medical Edition voice recognition software at no additional cost! Combined with SOAPware®, the Dragon NaturallySpeaking Medical program will enable you to be even more efficient than by using SOAPware® alone. • Patient Summaries and Histories – SOAPware’s chart summary and history views provide fast, easy access to the historical information you need about your patients.
• Chart Navigator – SOAPware’s Chart Navigator provides a quick, comprehensive overview of all the documents in a patient’s chart, displayed by category, list, or timeline.
• SOAP Note Generation –SOAPware assists you in quickly documenting patient encounters through the use of pre-built templates and macro-codes, as well as keyboard shortcuts, customized toolbars containing buttons to perform common tasks, and unique pick lists that automatically list the most frequent selections at the top.
• Docking Tools – Many of SOAPware’s tools, such as the Task List and Chart Navigator, can be docked on the edges of the main SOAPware window, where they can be automatically displayed or hidden as needed, providing quick access to frequently-used items.
• Customizable User Interface – All users are able to create and save customized screen layouts that meet their specific needs. Nurses, physicians, and staff can all have layouts tailored for their work style or individual preferences, showing only the sections they most commonly use. Layouts can also be designed to optimize the capabilities of systems with different displays, from large desktop monitors to multi-monitor systems to tablets.
• Patient Pictures – Each patient’s demographics can include a photo to assist in identification and decrease the potential for mistakes.
• Free or structured text entry – SOAPware’s groundbreaking SMARText interface allows users to create documentation using whatever amount of structure they prefer, from free text to highly-structured granular data and any combination in between.
